Elderly patients staying at Salisbury District Hospital are being sent home quicker thanks to a scheme designed to stimulate their brains.
That's according to psychologists at the Odstock site as they expand a project that's been running for just over a year.
A team of volunteers go in and talk to patients about their memories, play games like Scrabble and discuss what's in the newspaper to keep their minds more active.
